Community Resiliency Model — Cultivating Skills for Well-Being of Ukrainian Newcomers

Join us for an interactive and empowering webinar that introduces the Community Resiliency Model (CRM), an approach designed to support emotional well-being and build resilience in the face of trauma and stress developed by Elaine Miller-Karas, LCSW. CRM offers a set of six essential wellness skills.

This session is ideal for educators, mental health professionals, caseworkers, resettlement staff, and community-based organizations supporting newcomers.

Through the CRM model, participants learn accessible, science-based tools that support nervous system regulation and emotional well-being both for personal use and to share with others. These wellness skills are especially valuable during times of acute stress or trauma, offering practical support to forcibly displaced individuals from Ukraine, as they navigate the challenges of resettlement and recovery.

Date and Time: 12:00 - 1:30 PM PST, Monday, June 2, 2025
