Ella arrived in the United States in 2022 and quickly became a dedicated advocate for newly arrived families. Today, she works with the San Diego Unified School District as a Family Service Assistant at the Newcomer Welcome Center, where she helps families navigate the U.S. school system, connect with community resources, and support their children’s education. She speaks English, Ukrainian, and Russian.
