The Immigration Legal Services program at World Relief Sacramento is starting to run weekly, recurring webinars for the Afghan community on know your rights content and immigration policy updates. Community Webinars for Afghan Immigrants provide clear, accurate, and up-to-date information on current immigration news, policies, and announcements. Also, one attendee at each event will be picked at random to win a $50 Walmart Gift electronic gift card.
Topics covered include:
Guidance on Adjustment of Status, green cards, and citizenship timelines.
Important updates on processing pauses, travel restrictions, and government reviews.
Know Your Rights information for encounters with ICE, the FBI, or local law enforcement.
Family safety planning, detention preparedness, and fraud prevention.
Travel advisories, digital privacy, and conduct that may affect immigration status.
These sessions will be educational, followed by a question-and-answer session where attendees can ask questions of a licensed attorney.
